Iqbal Masih peer assessment reflection

Peer Assessment
I think peer assessment is…
When a peer has to read and comment on another peer’s work.

To make my feedback constructive I will
Give good feedbacks and tell them some room for improvements.

I am assessing ……………………..’s work.  Their success criteria for this learning opportunity are;
§  To understand Iqbal Masih’s vision.
§  To be able to emphasize Iqbal and kids like him
§  To be able to construct a successful biography or facebook page

What do you like about your partner’s work?
Write down 3 things you like.
For example; I really liked the way that you used empathy, the post between Iqbal and the carpet worker demonstrated how strongly Iqbal felt.
1.   1. I like how you kept it really short, and I don’t have to read much.
2.    2.You mentioned in it in chronological order.
3.    3. You mentioned how he had speeches.

Did your partner achieve their success criteria?
Think about their success criteria; did they achieve them all?  How and why? Or why not?
He has achieve the first S.C. but not the other two. He managed to understand his vision, but he didn’t do much work. I expected more post on the wall, at least 8 posts. He didn’t mentioned/emphasize anything about other kids, only Iqbal.

What could your partner do to improve their learning?
Give 2 targets for improvement.  Think about being constructive in your comments.  Look back at their success criteria, what areas could they still develop?
1.    1. Triple check your work. You had some spelling mistakes.
2.    I2. t would be better if you could put MORE information and wall post. If looks empty.

From reading the feedback I got from peers I have learned that, I should have added more posts and more information. So people will understand and learn more about the subject I am trying to present. I have learned that keeping it simple can be good so people won't need to read as much and will be more interested, as said by ryan.

Empathy

The picture makes me feel pity and sad. I can see that kids like us won't really be put into a situation like this. This kid is starring at some sort of block or piece of paper. We might be sitting on a couch in a air conditioned room playing with Ipads that we don't even need. The difference in our lives is just shocking when you look at it.
He probably doesn't even know how kids like us live. We might complain about school but he probably wishes he could go there. By now he might have become accustomed to his lifestyle-not to say he's not sad or depressed-so he might think that the way we live is paradise.

Success criteria for Iqbal Masih

SC: To understand Iqbal Masih's vision,
: To be able to emphasize Iqbal and kids like him,
: To be able to construct a successful biography or fakebook page.
